Ann Wrixon, MBA
Ann is the Executive Director of the Independent Adoption Center. She has worked for the last 25 years managing non-profit organizations dedicated to improving education and child welfare. She has published widely on these and adoption- related topics, including open adoption, LGBT adoption, birthparent rights, and interstate adoption. Ms. Wrixon is also an adoptive mother.
Kathleen Silber, MSW, ACSW
Kathleen is the Independent Adoption Center's Associate Executive Director and Clinical Director. She is a nationally regarded expert, has written numerous ground- breaking books including, "Dear Birthmother" and "Children of Open Adoption" and has advocated extensively for open adoption. As the IAC's Clinical and Associate Executive Director, Ms. Silber provides the IAC with clinical oversight and the IAC's staff with clinical supervision.
